Bountiful providence

NEW ZEALAND - A LAND TOUCHED BY PROVIDENCE

MOUNTAINS. FORESTS. LUSH PASTURE.
RIVERS. CLEAN AIR. EVEN CLEANER RAIN.

The small flowers on New Zealand’s native Mānuka plant or Leptospermum Scoparium, only bloom for a few weeks each year, so the nectar for Mānuka honey is a scarce and precious gift; providing healing , health and protection, as well as a gourmet food experience.
Our Story is the story of our Mānuka honey – created in Nature; naturally healing; naturally healthy. To us, it makes no sense to blend, dilute or alter something so perfect. Our aim is to deliver Mānuka honey in a form which respects the heritage of the beekeepers, the Land we live in, and the discerning consumer of this truly special food and medicine. No compromise on quality – a superfood gifted by Nature, presented as Nature deserves.
We named our Mānuka honey ‘Manuka Emporium’ to align with traditional beekeeping, where beekeepers would harvest a few hives at a time and sell their honey to the local emporium. It was packed by hand into glass jars, labelled by hand, and carried the signed endorsement of the beekeeper.
Manuka Emporium® preserves the small batch, single region, single beekeeper traditions of honey and presents a package which a premium food deserves.

VINTAGE

Like a good single malt or fine wine, Manuka Emporium’s® vintages record not just the year of harvest, but also the fine nuances associated with the creation of such a delicacy. Rain levels, temperature, atmospheric conditions, even the hours of sunshine - all of these can influence the fine balance of flavour in our Mānuka Honey. Even the positioning of the hives can impact the taste, smell and texture. Which is why the beekeepers' extensive knowledge and experience is so important to creating wonderful vintages year after year.
